Receiving and storage
Separate one-time inbound handling from ongoing storage. The quote should identify the billing unit, storage volume, duration and any minimum charges.
Processing and materials
Review first-item and additional-item handling, carton or mailer costs, inserts, labels and kitting. Specify which work is included and which is additional.
Carrier costs
Review destination zones, actual and dimensional weight, residential delivery, fuel and remote-area charges. Taxes and any other surcharges should be identified separately.
Returns and additional work
Receiving a return, inspecting it, photographing it and restocking it are different tasks. Agree on the required steps and the charge for each.
